If the event was erased she wouldn't recognize him on TV and be inspired to adventure in the first place. She would continue being a sheltered recluse, moreso because the camp event would turn into a traumatic experience without little Ash. It's not a matter of changing how she feels about him, but rather the entire course of her life.
I would be extremely upset, but it would be superseded by how impressed I am that they had the balls to do that, and my schadenfreude from amourfags.
