You wouldn't like their solution, Luis. The only way to prevent shipping wars was not start them. Ash being written out after the OS and ending up with Misty, Erika or some gen 1/2 female. The only reason shipping wars exist in the anime is because Ash is the only main male protagonist. This wouldn't have been an issue if they had replaced him.
