As stated before, I randomized the wild Pokémon (1 to 1, similar strength, no legendaries) for this one. Funny enough, Rattata and Pidgey were replaced with Jigglypuff and Diglett, neither of which I can use. First few routes should be fun, if they keep cockblocking me this much.
Stepped into route 22, first encounter was a Squirtle. Okay, sure, easy exp. After 9 Squirtles I finally got something new(ish): a Pidgey. Great. There are also stranded Magikarps in Viridian Forest, which I guess is sorta funny.
To be expected given the game and my settings, but most of the Pokémon in the first few routes were unavailable to me and I ended up with a pretty standard team by Cerulean. I did end up getting Kirie the Omanyte though, which is kinda nice (the learnset irks me, however).
Brock and Misty were pretty easy, with Precure confusing the shit out of Brock and Ziggy shocking Misty's Pokémon into death. Regular trainers are mostly okay, but some are really annoying to deal with. I also officially state that the Gen 1 Pokémon I fear the most are Rattata and Raticate. I think 8 of my 14 deaths so far have been to Hyper Fangs. Fuck those rats.
