Koa isn’t exactly very good at knowing what others would want as gifts unless he’s known them for a very long time. He’s also fairly frugal and wouldn’t expect presents in return, but he’d do his best. Because of that, some of his gifts could seem a little too simple.
I’ll list a few options for the characters Koa would probably get along with best (or the ones I can think of right now, with my COLD-ASS HANDS AS I TYPE THIS WHILE WAITING FOR THE BUS):
>Bibi
A Ribombee hair pin, ribbon or ring of some kind. Perhaps a Cross Rider box set for something more complex. (Koa does NOT know what to gift to girls. He’d probably have an easier time with Bibi over, say, Ruka, because he has a few shared interests with her already)
Fuck, what if I drew Bibi in a Cross Rider-esque Ribombee-themed costume?
>Ivy
An Alomomola shirt, maybe. A collar with Comfey flowers on it? (Koa would understand Ivy is a nurse, so he’d think maybe she’d appreciate merchandise with healing Pokémon on it)
>Phos
New sunglasses, maybe with a different colour. (Koa thinks Phos is too cool for most conventionally gifts, so he’d try to maybe provide novelty with a new colour of glasses) That’s probably what he’d give to Cassie too.
>Piper (surprise!)
Boxing gloves shaped like Crabrawler or Crabominable pincers. A shed scale from Mo-o, for good luck. (Koa would understand Piper as someone with a spirit akin to Fighting types, so he’d think she’d benefit from the scale the most. It’s a very meaningful thing for him to give away, though. Koa would think of giving one to Bibi, for example, but in his mind she already has a Kommo-o so he’d think it might be a little redundant)
