>>58623716>>58627371These threads get a lot of dumb posts and I don't know why this one is repeated so frequently. Getting a 2k ribbon Chansey is such a huge cost compared to just using Blissey for that amount of time. Chansey already needs 150 hours to evolve, so the remaining 1850 will take 206 nights (almost 7 months) if you get 9 hours each night. For each of those nights, a level 30-59 max ingredient rate Chansey would get on average about 16 eggs, while the same Blissey would get about 24 due to the larger inventory. So after those 206 nights, you would already be behind 1648 eggs just from the time spent sleeping. If a 2k ribbon Chansey gets about 5 more eggs each day, then it would take 330 days just to make up for the lack of eggs you would have gotten.
This isn't even accounting for the fact that an ingredient specialist is mainly used during the day, and Blissey would be getting more eggs for each of the first 206 days. You also generally wouldn't want to sleep with a Chansey or Blissey for that long, as a berry or even skill specialist can give you much more production value during sleep time. Even if you care more about future investments than current gains, a berry specialist would benefit more from the experience gained, especially when boosted by Good Sleep Day, subskills, and other boosts. You might be able to make an argument for 0 hour Chansey being worth it and skipping the 150 required for evolution, but the cost there is probably small enough to justify the larger boost.
