>>56816639>As opposed to gen 5 where I hear literally none of it.Of course you do, nothing in gen 5 takes over music channels so you hear the whole theme regardless of the situation unlike previous generations where it would cut out periodically to make room for the beeping loop.
>Every game past gen 1 does this. No, they only started giving themes in gen 3, in gen 1 and 2 they just pitch shifted the usual battle theme to save space both due to lack of optimisation and the fact that music didn't matter to them.
>Every game does this. No, not really gen 2 was trying to be more traditional Japanese which left it b with a somewhat forgettable soundtrack bar one or two themes like the national park.
Gen 4 was a jaunty walk in a park if it wasn't a route dedicated to a specific weather.
Gen 6 to 9 didn't really do anything like that.
>Thanks for going mask off, sagefag. I don't know who sagefag is, from the name it would have to be someone who usually sages but you wouldn't know that unless he announced it so it's probably just you screeching into the void, anyway, stating a fact isn't anything to get mad about. Everyone hated gen 6's themes for good reason, especially the bland gym theme that sounded like it wanted to build up to something but never did.
