>>58848433>if you don't like redwank constantly shoved down your throat it must be because you want red'sannoyingcousinwank shoved down your throat>>58848804Red never uses a Mewtwo as an NPC so it's a pretty easy interpretation to say they retconned Red catching Mewtwo in HGSS for pokedex completion reasons, and Ethan/Lyra catching Mewtwo isn't that important, so it's pretty easy to say them catching Mewtwo isn't canon and it was caught by Team Flare and either escaped and sat in a cave until Serena/Calem caught it (XY version of XY's events) or went forgotten until Paxton/Harmony caught it 5 years later (Z-A version of XY's events)
LGPE notoriously makes no sense in the grand scheme of things it's better for your sanity to just assume it's non-canon
