As for Bonnie, how do we know that she's not already helping Serena keepu? She's using what she does for Clemont to get Serena to do the same.

I'm pretty sure there are other ways Ash can get the Mega Ring other than by Korrina and Lucario. Here's a small list of how I think Ash can get the ring:

>Alan gets a spare in one of the future acts of the mega evo special and gives one to Ash when they meet
>Gary returns to the anime and visits Kalos, giving Ash one of his spare rings
>Diantha gives it to him
>His mom finds one and gives it to him
>Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor debut in the anime and give a ring to Ash and possibly Serena and Clemont

The writers don't have to completely follow the game storyline in the anime. In fact, they rarely did.
