So if I had to choose from your list, I would choose N, but my actual favorite rival is Hop. I like Blue more as a character, but only when he shows up in HGSS, USUM, etc, not when he's actually your rival.
Silver is a poor man's Gladion, Gladion is pretty good but not as good as the others imo, Wally rules but he's not even really a rival since you fight him twice, May and Brendan are nothing characters, Barry is a nothing character, I agree with

Hop, however, has a full character arc, and is the only rival to realistically react to you crushing him every time. His arc based around trying to be his brother, only to realize that that was never what he wanted, so he catches Zamazenta, has one last throwdown with you, and then starts working to be a professor? Kino. The only other rival who even has a character arc is Gladion, and sort of Bede.
And no, don't say Silver does. Silver ggoes from "I'm the worst" to "Actually I love Pokemon now" and then his Golbat evolves. That's not a character arc.
