latin spics and their language were more heavily affected by the fact that the populations they mixed with were much larger than with north american settlers and their neighbors, and the people around you and especially your families are naturally going to have an impact on the accent you speak with and what words/slang you use because they're the ones you're learning your language from.
american native tribes were relatively tiny, so even the ones that actually mixed with the settlers instead of getting wiped out simply weren't large enough in number for their language to have any real impact on american english
