>>47532529Yeah I thought so too, I want to represent some sort of depth with this, biggest problem is I don't know how to convey it as well as I dream of. First vs Third person as well always seems to be a problem. I want to convey some thing but remember I cant do thoughts in third or show multiple characters in different locations well in first person. But it's the character dynamic within Rocket as well as the world dynamic changing that affects the character. I know this isn't the best thing, but my main character is going to be more reactive than proactive. A persons character is decided with the choice they make when presented with an option, and since it's a hierarchical order all options are given to him, only slowly gaining proactivity later on. On the flipside, he's also doing the KANTOOOO league, which is more proactive, as well as the relationship he has with his various pokemon. I float some ideas around in my head but this is the general plot that's been there for a while.
>>47532677I write a couple chapters and then delete the story, write a couple chapters, delete, repeat. I just wrote a chapter 1 last night and uploaded it, short brief little thing. Don't know if I want the writing style to be short and simple like McCarthy or lengthy and superfulous like Tolkien. Considering the topic, I'm trying to go a bit shorter, but my mood and what I read itself often influences my mood. I'm not satisfied with what I write.
Regarding the second, I'm still lost myself if I want to make it the standard hero journey harem shit, or pull some switcharoo. I was thinking of making the MC a sort of naturally suave guy but he doesn't really care about the women at all, similar to James Bond in the books, he's really only focused on being the Hoenn champ, but due to the nature of the world it could be assumed that of course he wants companions and followers. There's some other ideas floating around, it's on the backburner tho
