Small update on my HG nuzlocke, still grinding up for Morty and his team of bumblefucks, I decided to box Jade and replace her for my Rattata, since it knows bite and won't get hurt by ghost attacks, I am also happy to announce that Rain has fully evolved into a Crobat! I swear she is my pride and joy. Not much else besides level ups.

Does evolving a Nincada into a Ninjask with a free slot(thus getting yourself a Shedinja in the process) count as catching another pokemon? I mean, he's pretty useless in a Nuzlocke since he'll die in a single turn, but do you guys count it as catching?

Couple of questions.
-Am I allowed to Trade evolve pokemon in Nuzlokes?
-Am I able to reset routes if I beat the E4 since i'm pretty much running out of routes at this point and will have to retake many of them anyway?

Gifted 'Mons are 100% acceptable unless you want them not to be.
Trading with NPC's ingame is legit in my book, provided you caught your 'mon legit, and it is alive.

Alright, lesson learned. Need to grind more.

Mars' purugly took out Starla the Starly AND Mahcus the Machop. Shelly the Shellos and Katjaa the Psyduck both died to crits from wild pokemon. In eterna forest, I lost Clara the Zubat (and any hope I had of beating gardenia) to some trainer's pachirisu. It had been spamming quick attack for the previous 7 turns, and I foolishly assumed it didn't have spark.

Oh, and fuck you Cheryl I wanted that Dustox.

Not sure if there's a more recent thread so I'll have to bump this one.

I'm in the Ilex Forest in a Gold Randomizer run and have no Pokemon that can learn Cut. I went back and checked every area possible and got no luck. What do I do?
Do I lose?
I have a dead box with an Arcanine, do I use that?

Can't catch dupes, or their evolved forms (even if dead). Don't get a retry until you have 5 captures. Don't get a second retry until you have 10 captures. That's my personal take on the dupes clause.

Yes it is. Doing a Diamond run and along with my Monferno, Staravia is my biggest star right now. Currently working my way to Vielstone, where my last run ended when Lucario swept my team after getting two luck attack raises on three Metal Claws.
