I want a generation that gives us one hundred plus Pokémon that are all viable. No three stage bird that is immediately dispensed into NU, no random one stage fish that never sees the light of day. I want every single Pokémon to be useful in its own way. Maybe not uber based on stats alone, but unique in other ways that enables it to compete with the big boys.

I know Nintendo doesn't really design Pokémon games for the competitive scene but they obviously do recognize us, or else we wouldn't have confusing crap like IVs. Isn't there a way for the prime child demographic to get the shiny game full of cute monsters they want, while we older players get a complex and thought-provoking tournament-level strategy that we want?
