And to the claim that a Weavile beats 1 on 1 Scizor is laughable.
You mentioned 'properly EV'd' for some unfathomable reasons, but even an Adamant 252/252 Weavile gets utterly destroyed by even a Modest 0 EV's 0 IV's Scizor. Every time, even if the Weavile got Crit hax, Scizor hard counters Weavile something fierce.

None of those are broken. Hell Metagross is trash and Tyranitar slowly being cast aside for hippowdon. Magnezone is a one trick pony, Volcarona is easily revenged and Chomp's previously supersonic speed is only decent now.

By what? If it has two quiver dances under its belt, which is hilariously easy to pull off with giga drain, what revenges it? It resists all priority not named aqua jet and under the sun, which it should always be, even that is nothing to it.

Also, drilbur with pursuit support. That thing is broken, outspeeding even the fastest pokémon with a choice scarf in sand, good bulk with eviolite and boost its already insane attack with swords dance. The only surefire counter is choice scarf snover with blizzard/giga drain, and it can't even switch in it because lol laughable bulk.

You haven't played OU recently have you?
While Tyranitar used to be a staple, most sand teams are slowly using Hippowdon instead now due to being able to stay in without being so easily threatened, as the current OU metagame is fighting-heavy.

It's funny that he mentions it should be under the sun, because Volc can also function well in the rain to to Hurricane.

Tyranitar beats a lot of threats in the metagame, and is one of the best anti-weather pokémon. His CB set hits so hard, and he wins the weather war really easily. With its great bulk, he can 2HKO physically defensive Politoed and OHKO every single other weather inducer bar Hippowdon. He also counters a lot of top-threat metagames, like Latios.

Metagross is not even usable anymore (altough he is good in VGC)
Garchomp is not broken with the power creep
Magnezone is a one-trick pony and won't be an issue unless you are running monosteel
Volcarona is the closest thing to broken in that list and even then Rocks keep it in check

All the other Weather inducers are awful, it's not exactly an accomplishment to be able to take them out. The fact he counter a few Pokemon means dick when half of the OU metagame hard counters him. Even things that should be scared of TTar, like most Psychic-types and Volc, have an ace up their sleeve which make him laughable.
He's suffering Electivire syndrome right now. No good player still uses Tyranitar. His only function, as you said, is taking hits from Politoed and Ninetales, who will just switch to any fighting type or Scizor.

That's true too, but he also does its job at eliminating opposing weather, preventing the opponent from running through your team with things like Tornadus/Keldeo/Venusaur, even if he can only switch in the latter. He's also a great bulky hitter. He might not be the best pokémon, but it does its job.

I'm not sure if I agree with you. I run a rain team myself, and I'm always more worried about seeing Tar than Hippo. Both are annoying, but Tar's broad movepool makes dealing with it successfully kind of a crapshoot. Do I switch in Ferrothorn to wall it, or send in Scizor to kill it? What then if it turns out to have Fire Blast? Maybe I should send in Keldeo to kill it, but what if it paralyses me with Thunder Wave and then switches out? Do I just switch in Politoed again to try and fight it off? But what if it's a choice band set that can easily 2hko me with Stone Edge? Hippowdon dies much less easily and all that, but its options are way more limited. If you see a hippo, you know it's going to be a max / max physically bulky set with EQ, Slack off, Stealth Rock and Roar. Scizor is slow and it needs that priority. If it wants a harder attack to hit regularly with, it has Bug Bite, which hits 90 power and has an offensive typing that doesn't suck.
