Hey /vp/ wanted to ask you guys if a snover is worth the leveling and if I should incorporate it in my team to beat the elite four in pearl. I usually favor grass types but I'm not sure about snover being that he is very weak against fire. Wat do u think?

In-game, weather can be annoying since it damages your own pokemon. Unless you're planning to use a team that won't be crippled by hail too much, I wouldn't do it.

But since you can powergrind your pokemon in-game, it's not really that big a problem. Just use your favourites/interesting pokemon.

Wouldn't a sunny day ninetails really complement your grass team (assuming you have growth/beam).

Not sure (as I only started getting back into pokemon yesterday) but I think he also gets a 1.5x attack bonus against fire, which can help you out against an annoying weakness.

Abomasnow's pretty boss. Yeah his types are both bad individually but together it's pretty unique. I'd say give him a whirl if you consider yourself a Grass specialist, but make sure you have supporting Pokémon to cover his back. Why not? It'd be cooler than the 38573rd Garchomp.

It pulled it's own weight, and did most of the heavy lifting against Bertha.

Grants immunity to Fire-type moves and increases the power of Fire-type moves by 50% when hit by a Fire-type move.

Ninetails would own on a grass side as it can swap in against fire. Hypnosis/Sunny day too...
