I turn 30 in a few days, /vp/.

Is there still room in the Pok? fandom for an old man like me? I hide my power level pretty well.

And to remain more on topic, who is your favorite adult character in the franchise? I'm a fan of Looker and Professor Oak.

I think a lot of adults are into Pokémon, I feel there needs to be a way for people to communicate that without being made to feel "too old". We started in gen 1, we shouldn't have to feel ashamed for that. It's hypocritical for the franchise itself to bring us in and spit us out at the "wrong age".

I turned 27 yesterday and bought a wii u ONLY to play MH3U. I also bought a DSi in addition to the two DS lites I already own. the DSi was later replaced with a 3DS cause I knocked my bedside table over and the top screen stopped working.
I also buy 2 games each gen cause I have nobody to trade with. the whippersnappers at work, 19-22 yearolds only play COD and talk about bitches

I'm 30 as well; just turned last October.

I've always noticed that I'm perpetually ahead of the "curve"; when I was 20, all the Poke-fans were 16; when I was 25, all the Poke-fans were 20... now that I'm 30, all the Poke-fans seem to be 25 or so.

I'm used to it now, but I'm glad that the "curve" has always moving along with me instead of the curve staying still and I kept moving further away from it....

I'm a fan of Rowan and Koga. Cedric and Aurea Juniper are pretty cool, too.

I'd rather have the fandom populated by reasonable 20-30 year olds than high-strung kiddies and those who are the "hoennfag" propagators.
I can do without any of those who partake in genwars, to be honest.

Age is not an object. While it may impose certain limitations, it certainly does not prevent you from being a part of the esteemed fanbase. In fact, it is best to associate with others online, as finding fellow Pokefans online of your age may prove particularly challenging. Myself, I welcome it.
