my movesets worked against friends and random ppl i meet when out.

my friends have been EV training and competitively battling for at least 2 years before i even got the games. they play super serious, i just like to have fun in battles

i found these pokemon, i liked the moves. so i use them in GTS battles now.

i wanted a team that could cover all types, thats why i chose the movesets, and i just maxed the speed on them so I could hopefully hit 1st during battles.

This whole thing kinda just comes across as "I didn't want to put any time, effort or thought into it and I don't really care all that much to begin with, but I still want you to help me out with it".

The problem is that your reasoning is extremely... basic, almost shallow and the fact that they work against your friends, local community or on Wifi means about as much as that they're able to beat the Elite 4.

There really isn't much people can tell you, but that standard sets are strictly better than what you're using right now and you should just stick with them until you actually know your shit.

So I just swapped my catching Smeargle to my boyfriend temporarily and got his favorite pokemon as collateral just because. DS connections have always been finicky for me, half the time I could never get them to work.

However, if you are trying to use a Gen V pokemon game to connect online, you don't need to use the DS connection settings, it can use the 3DS connection settings and you may have better luck with those.

Relaxed ups its already huge Defense stat, while Sassy upgrades its Special Defense to near the level of its Defense.

Also, since it's Sand Veil and not useful nowadays, it's fine to have 30 HP and 21 SpD since you probably won't use it anyway.

I just got Black 2 a couple of weeks ago, so I'm collecting pokes and all that. Only have one EV Trained 31 IV Poke. I played a lot of Gen IV but not V except on Pokemon Online when it was released.

Oh well. And yeah, I just hatched one and it had Clear Body.

So, approximations here. Let's say I wanted a Jolly Moxie Heracross, with appropriate IVs for Speed and Attack. Let's also say I already have Heracross with the appropriate nature and IVs (I actually may from Gen IV, or a Pinser which should be the same breeding group).

That's just the full process. Using your example, you'll probably get a female moxie heracross before your desired pokémon. It's just a pain in the ass to take every hatched egg to PWT to read their IVs, but I guess that's something you'll have to do anyway, might as well breed for higher all around IVs.

You can also pokecheck them when they hatch for more accurate results than the guy in the game who judges pokemon, and you can do a lot at once very quickly. Personally I like to hatch 12 pokemon and then pokecheck them and perform parental switches then.

I can imagine it depends on the poke. Some are easier to breed than others. Zoroark was easy to breed, it took about 25 or 30 eggs total.

That was with appropriate tools though, six 31 IV Dittos (mine are jap), everstone, and power items.

Using Pokecheck for the first time.
I set the DNS, booted up the game and went to GTS. I uploaded a Pokemon, but instead of getting the "that pokemon may not be offered for trade (13266)" message, it sent the Poke like normal. I just searched on GTS and it brought up some people to trade with as well, like normal GTS.

This happen for anyone else? What'd I do wrong?

I had a similar problem and simply cleared all of my DS connection settings and have since switched to only using the 3DS settings. The DS game will try to connect to the DS settings first, and the 3DS settings as back up, I THINK. So you want to remove all DS options.

Not for everything and there are almost always better choices you can make. But, it's pretty neutral coverage if you end up with a pokemon that has high HP dragon and you don't really want to do anything serious with it but fuck with the people who fill their team with dragons, which is my main motivation. HP ice would be better for that, but the dice roll what they roll and are rarely kind enough to hand me HP Ice and I'll take what I can get.

Also, Yanmega is CLEARLY dragonfly and I want it to have a dragon move for flavor purposes. But that's just me.

It hits everything at least neutral except steel types but Hidden Power is honestly too weak to be aiming for neutral coverage. Competitively it's ONLY used to hit things super effectively. A lot of the time you're actually better off hitting a resisted STAB move than a neutral HP.

If yes, just stick with 252 Attack/ Speed, it's all about having Honchkrow's main attacks hit as hard as possible, the special attack you're running is really just a counter-counter for specific situations and doesn't need any investment.

Go to bulbapedia with your list of needed pokemon. Figure out which ones you can catch, or catch a member of the family to breed for the previous form or to evolve into the next one.

The ones you can't get in game you can ask people to trade you and they will likely help by giving you a basic form of that pokemon.
