Little question about the Challenge Medals in BW2: can I have double type pokemons in my party, and still be considered an all x-type team?

Also, the medal "One and Only", by defeating the Elite Four with only one pokemon in the party - wich pokemon did you use? I'm thinking in Haxorus but I'd like to hear your opinions
