What would be a good double battle strategy with shedinja then? If skill swapping wonder guard is illegal and on its own it can be exploited easily how do you even keep it safe?

Using soak turns it into pure water type, cutting its weaknesses down to 2, 1 if you have a lightning rod user partner. Grass types are easy as fuck to kill so no problem there.

You'll need to bring either sun or rain though

I'm not sure about doubles, but whenever I'm running him seriously on a team, I typically put him next to a different favourite of mine, Claydol. Claydol spins, and CAN fix my opponent's attempts at inclimate conditions, but typically I just use it for spin and type coverage, and just pray for no sand/hail.
