I have not been here all week, has it been confirmed that the Pikachu 3ds will sell for 160 at target and 150 at toys r us in the whole country?

I have not heard about this. I want an XL, and if the Pokemon edition one is selling for cheaper than the others, that just makes my decision to buy one easier. So, where is the sauce to this price drop?

Last saturday or sunday some people posted some Target and Toys R us flyers showing the discounted prices, but it was not confirmed, and I have no idea if they have been confirmed yet because the websites show the regular 199 price.

checked a nearby toys r us yesterday to verify. staff had no idea what the price will be. i checked their paper catalog, but it wasn't listed, and they told me to come back sunday.

Anybody who has a Target and a Walmart in their town should try both stores if they can. I know that Walmart will honor any ad-price for a local competitor as long as it's a product they carry as well. I confirmed this at my own Walmart last night, because I saw that they had Pikachu 3DSXLs on the floor.

Key points:
>You have to have the physical ad, you can't just have a pic on your phone
>It has to be local, so if there's not a Target or a TRU in your area, they won't honor the ad
>They'll match the price if they have any
>Have to have it at that time, you can't come back with the ad later to get a partial refund

What I'd recommend is if you have any 24 hour walmarts, go to them as soon as it becomes sunday and see if you can get it for the price even without an ad. If that's not gonna work, get your Sunday paper bright and early and try Walmart before Target opens.

So I have a few things to report, after running around town to get information.

My local Target has no idea about the things at all. None of the Electronics people I talked to were aware of the Pikachu 3DSXL or the sale, and none were willing to check in the back to see if they had any.

>Walmart
Had 3 in the little locked-up case where they keep the other 3DS yesterday night. I told them that the street date on them was Sunday, they scanned one of them and it didn't come up in the system. They weren't there today at 6 PM, so I assume that they put them back.

The customer service desk told me I do -not- need a physical copy of the ad to get them to honor the price, but I will have to wait until Sunday, because the ad isn't valid until the 24th. I was told that they should be able to honor it as early as 12:01 AM, and that showing them a picture of the ad or showing them the ad on a Target app should be sufficient. No clue if they only got those 3 or if there were more in the back.

>Gamestop
Only had 2. Do not do price-matching at all. Offered to set one aside for me because the manager is a bro, but they totally understood my desire to save 40 bucks.
