It was OP as fuck in Gen 4 but now the powercreep is just enough to make it viable in OU where it isn't the most over powered thing in the tier. I'm surprised you weren't bitching about Lati@s.

The only thing that could make it better is rough skin + rocky helmet, and if they activated through sub, and a burn hazard to boost its defence more.

After Genesect got banned, Scizor went back to being #1 in usage.

That's the thing though. It isn't amazing, but its just general glue a team can fall back on. Need to smack dragonite's smug face? Bullet punch. Need to sponge a weaker defensive attack? Do some damage? Grab a good match up? Volt switch out, scizor in, u turn out again.

Did you even play when Genesect was around?

It wasn't the best Pokemon in the tier, but by far the most centralizing.

Nothing could safely switch in except Heatran.

It also had over 20% usage, because you could slap Genesect on any team, whether it be rain, sun, sand, or weatherless.

Glad I don't play competitive. Despite the smogonfags' best efforts, Pokémon isn't balanced at all. There are 17 types, a couple hundred(?) viable moves, and over 300 fully evolved Pokémon, with some supposed to be weaker than others. The day GF balances this game, their balance guy should be nominated for the Nobel.

Which won't ever happen since they don't even bother anymore.

I'd be honestly inclined to agree. While Stealth Rock fucks over Pokemon that are of one of four or so types, a burn hazard would fuck over every type but one hard, and ultra fuck up anything that also happened to be a physical attacker.

The only way you'd manage to not have it be OP would be to make it exclusive to something completely shitty like Heatmor.
