I'm not, Garchomp looks atrocious and he isn't very popular with any audience besides Smogonfags, who barely play the actual games.

I was hoping it would evolve into Gabite but I knew it would never turn into Garchomp because that's Cynthia's signature pokemon.

The way I wanted to see it:
Gible evolves in the battle Ash had against the guy using Trick Room and Dusknoir in the Pokemon League
Then, when Ash is going against Tobias, Gabite evolves while fighting Darkrai and Garchomp proceeds to decimate the legendary using faggot.
Then they could have shown Ash going against Cynthia. Garchomp VS Garchomp. Even if he had lost, I'd have still liked it.
