Actually TRU is 170 and the gift card, that's where that 150 rumor came from. I want one from Target but I can't go tomorrow so I have to go Monday, I hope they don't sell out, and at least there's about 3 Targets in my area.

If I can't get a Pikachu, I'm holding out for this. If it never gets released here, there's always 3DS redesign at E3 before X and Y release or an X and Y themed one possibly.

My dilemma is twofold:

First, I really want a 3DS XL, only for the bigger size / aesthetic / etc. I can afford one.

The problem is that I already have a 3DS, and it's the LoZ limited edition one. The other is that I have no use for two 3DS systems and no real way to sell my current one if I were to get a new one.

But man the Pikachu one looks so good.

The Target sale and all is really great since it looks like it'll be $160 - 150 (if that's a thing, I read about it on /vp/ earlier this week and all).

I'm a sucker for collectible systems, it's just never happened to me before where I wanted two of the same thing.

I actually hadn't considered inter-trading between X and Y. I'm so used to my 3DS, DS Lite, and DS brick being able to cover that so I had completely forgotten they'd be 3DS games. That's a really good point.

Just go ahead and buy it. From what I have compared to my reg 3ds and experienced, the XL is really worth the investment.

Plus you get a limited edition console that (may) retain it's value more than a regular one.

Went to Target and TRU by my house, and talked to the people that work there. Each only has 1 box of the Pikanips 3DS XLs. They are in the same parking lot and TRU opens 2 hours after Target. Gonna get there super early and buy the entire box from both places. Keep a few, sell the rest.

It doesn't make much sense. With the Wii the general reasoning seemed to be that the low stock kept demand up with this allure of it being super-rare. This was a fucking pain in the ass but more Wiis were being shipped so they made their money.

That website closed online orders five minutes after Midnight. I think Target lasted about five minutes longer. People have been seeings the instore pickup options and thinking they havn't stopped selling, but that literally was gone minutes after it started.
