ITT: pokemon with great stats or movepools but are let down by shit typing.

Pic related. Amazing defensive movepool and decent stats but abyssmal defensive types.

I'd say abomasnow. He's a giant abominable snowman why couldn't he be like ice dark or ice fighting? I know he's partially based on an evergreen tree but he's the two worst defensive types in the game roled into one.

Why not both? Flygon isn't even a bug despite looking way more buglike than ground type.

Anyway I'd say celebi. It's got great stats and some amazing moves but grass is a shit typing.

It's because Kingdra's inspiration's Japanese name contains Dragon but Yanmega's doesn't. Vice-versa in english.

1. we already have a fairy egg group
2. there is an obvious divide between typical normal types like zangoose or stoutland and the pink moeblobs jigglypuff, blissey, audino etc.
3. there are also similar moves and abilities like cute charm, attract, charm, lovely kiss and healer that are often given to these pokemon.

all those moves are status moves that wouldn't matter if they were to change type. and those are given because all of these fairies are support pokemon and walls

by your logic, there will also be sound type because there are moves like chatter, round, relic song, sing, hyper voice, etc.
