I was extremely excited during the B/W hype and English release, I remember still being excited when BW2 was announced, but I started to lose interest slowly (probably when they said the games would still be on the NDS.) I barely followed the BW2 hype but still picked up the game and played through it, but I pretty much stopped playing after the main game.
I guess the reasons I lost interest was because of too many games on the same platform, it really felt like more of the same (the same could be said about all Pokémon games, but it was particularly noticeable with gen 4 and 5.)
The Dreamworld also bored me to death. Transferring all my pokémon bored me to death. Everything was so tedious and seemed so pointless, I just lost interest.
Despite all that, I am stoked for X/Y! I feel like the 3DS can bring a lot to the franchise, much more than a graphical update. I just hope that GF won't screw up, but I have faith.
