Sableye is Dark/Ghost and Mawile is only Steel, but they are counterparts. Heracross is Bug/Fighting while Pinsir is just Bug. Typing don't mean shit.

I'd say Jynx and Mr. Mime are counterparts.

I wouldn't say Mr. Mime is the male equivalent mostly just because Mr. Mime can be female...so that little sexual "counterpart" is already there.

We have a similar problem with the evolutions of tyrogue...

This is my headcanon on the design process behind Mr. Mime.

I also like to think that it doesn't have a real physical form. It just looks like it does to blend in among humans better, clouding human vision with hard light and psychic trickery which makes it extra scary

please rate my theory
