I'm playing through ruby for the first time, although I have over 400 hours each on sapphire and emerald. I've picked torchic for my starter everytime I've ever played 3rd gen and I would like some suggestions as to what pokemon I should use that are not common but still good. I am willing to get rid of the ninjask and eventually the linoone because I'm only using it as an HM slave. Any suggestions would be great.
