The angle of the Fennekin pic isn't from a cap on any site I see, but it IS in the trailer, so whoever made the scan didn't just lazily pull images to use.

Have you ever played any of the 3D games? Pokémon aren't stationary models. They move their arms, legs, faces, and any other body parts. And the camera moves about too. Admittedly it isn't impossible that two screenshots could be taken at the exact same frame in a Pokémon's animation with the camera in exactly the same relative position, but the fact that it's about a thousand times easier for fakes to do that than make a new screenshot make it suspicious.

That looks shopped, and for once, you actually CAN tell from the pixels. If that was real, why is the 'official' art they used clearly scaled up? Magazines usually get high-resolution copies of the artwork so they can avoid shit like that. Special mention to that logo in the top left, which looks like a blurry mess, especially when they put it right next to the text, which is the only fucking thing in that image which ISN'T blurry.

Fun is subjective. Some people like playing competitively.

Brawl is damn near impossible to play competitively because of how floaty the physics are, and because there are no advanced techniques like wavedashing or L-cancelling.

Street Fighter used to be relaxed fun, but then people playing the early games set up rules to make it competitive. Capcom listened to the fans and future Street Fighter games were set up to be competitive. What Sakurai did was counterproductive.

I know this is predictable, but I'd like to see Mewtwo return. He's been the only Pokemon character I've ever used. Sure he sucked, but playing as him had such amazing coolness value that it didn't matter. Things are looking up though, given how he was going to be in Brawl and has a movie with him in it coming out.

In addition to the current stuff that they do, I would "announce" some new pokemon by having my people make fake scans and things like this, and then never confirm them until after the game has been out for a little while and I update the online pokedex or whatever.
The first gen I did it, it would be all "HOLY SHIT THAT WAS REAL?" And then every gen after that people would be looking at all the shops like this going "I can tell that it's shopped, but might be real anyway?" Not only would I be trolling everybody, but fake scans that others made to troll people would also generate hype for me.

There shouldn't be anything new until e3 or after the genesect movie in July. Sylveon was revealed because it is appearing in the genesect movie and it's kinda hard to keep that a secret and promote the movie at the same time.
