Actually, IIRC, a recent poll on /vp/ didn't put Charizard at the top of the favorite starters list, even for Gen 1. If you want to troll successfully using this method, might I recommend finding a community more heavy with nostalgiafags, or perhaps one focused more around the classic TCG? Base Set Charizard was, after all, the most sought-after original Pokémon card.
