As a 22 year old, looking back at when I first got into pokemon with the 1st generation when it came out, I want to tear up for some reason. I don't know if anybody on /vp/ feels how I feel about it, but something about being there since pokemon games were being made feels special.
It felt like I was part of something(Pretty sure I was since it was a cultural phenomena around the world). Even now I still have interest in the new Pokemon games and I shed tears. I may not be into pokemon as much as I was as a young boy, but wow /vp/ this feeling is just like no other.
The memories from back then will never leave my mind and heart. The Music, sounds, locations, etc. are just too ingrained within me to go away. Young kids who are into pokemon right now will never know what it felt like to grow up during pokemon's global domination. Even if I one day become disinterested in pokemon, I hope that they will carry on the torch for me.
