You'll never get that same sense of accomplishment back, I speak from experience. My recommendation? Play nuzlockes so you can at least know what it is to have pokebros once again. Also add the following rules so you get attached to your pokes, along with first two rules

-You can only grind up to the highest level in the city, lets say you are in blackthorn and want to grind. You can only go up to level 40 (Clairs Kingdra)

-No legendaries

I've been slowly recovering. Made a Magnezone with Flash, T-wave, Sub(i think,) and T-bolt
He is meant for battle subway as a crippler. I was so fucking proud when I finished up EV training on him!

I feel the added challenge makes you appreciate your pokes all that more. Just over levelling them ruins any source of challenge left, i see people talking about their "bros" who are just level 50 pokemon taking down level 30 gyms. what's the point? why not just go through with level 100 pokes? and then by that point you realize there really is no point in trying at all. level capping certain areas is great.

not OP but i used pokegen to transfer mons from an emulator file to a cart. it was easier than moving my computer and hooking it up to the router for desmume's wifi.

implying a highly manipulated, eugenic and artificially strong Pokemon is a bro. The only different between a breeder and Pokegen is that Pokegen is much faster.

I catch my bros in the wild and pokegen fix them only late-game (and only bullshit things like IVs or Dream World abilities)

I'd be all for EV training if IVs didn't exist, or if they were at least controllable. I'm not spending hours trying to breed a Pokemon with goods IVs, only to spend another few hours EV training and raising to 100.
