Carnivine really needs an evolution. There is so much potential; a high physical damage based grass type that floats. With better stats, it would get a niche that no other Pokemon would fill effectively.

Plus it has the potential to look really cool.

Immunity to ground, counters Dugtrio hard. Hell, it counters every non-shadow-tag trapper in the game.

Just give it's evolution 100/70/70 defenses with 110+ base attack and we'll be good. That thing would be able immune to revenge killing and could possibly revenge by itself.

Any defensive Grass already fucks Dugtrio over. The only thing there that's worth anything is immunity to Toxic Spikes.

But it's the only levitating pure grass. Grass is already a shitty type, so giving it an immunity helps alleviate a lot of the stress of using it. You could switch into so much if it got a beefier evolution, you wouldn't even believe...

Resisting still isn't as good as an immunity. It's still easy to kill non-physically bulky grass types with an EQ, and immunity to spikes is a plus.
