They can technically fix it (it's due to a bug). But much like how they don't want to update Gen 1 and 2 cries, it's because of tradition (and you have whiners).

Or, or, the new Parasect evo resolves the shit stats issue and lets me use one of my favorite mons for something other than just catching other mons and the whole not being controlled by a shroom anymore is just a bonus.

Its because Nidorina and Nidoqueen are hermaphrodites, this was in the official Platinum guide a while back, but never really widely stated as its a touchy subject for Pokemon.

There have been a number of things written into Pokemon that after being released, don't settle well when looking at it. Things like Dusclops and Dusknoir's Pokedex entries are quite ominous, and not exactly a 8-10 year old range friendly line of text.

Unless it changes type, an evo won't help that much. Although I suppose it would grant Parasect use of Eviolite. Nevertheless, if you can't hang with your favorite Poke, at least in-game, you're doing something wrong. Meowth's partner Ledyba handles itself just as well.

If it was only written once, in an English guide (keep in mind even "official" guides are outsourced), I wouldn't take it as gospel. On the other hand, word of god has already clearly stated that it's due to a glitch they decided to preserve.

I don't think you know what that word means. If Nidorina and Nidoqueen were hermaphrodites they'd not only be able to lay eggs but you could put two Nidoqueens in the day care and both could lay an egg.

Not sure on the second question, but in B/W 2, Hugh is out for revenge against Team Plasma, who stole his sister's Purrloin during the events of the original games. He finds it later on as a Liepard, only to realize that the Shadow Triad had trained it, and as a result, it was aggressive towards him. It was quite upsetting.
