COD and FIFA come out every year, so there are constantly new people growing into it and trying their friends versions.

Because pokemon games come out every 5 years it means a whole bunch of people play, and then a generation of kids miss out. Slowly pokemon is going to fizzle out. It won't carry on like cod.

The only real flaw in this is that CoD isn't going to carry on forever either, hell I'm 90% sure CoD will die before Pokemon bites the dust. Pokemon might even last our entire lifetime, so when we did it would seem as though it went on forever.

Not him but that's wrong. It's the other way around: Gold and Silver are original Game Boy games enhanced for the Super Game Boy (1 and 2) and the Game Boy Color. Also, Black and White along with Black 2 and White 2 are DS games, not "DSi games". The only DSi games are the "testware" Nintendo pulled out while preparing the 3DS, which was only obtainable via the online store.

The real thing ninty has going for it over sony/microsoft is it's franchises. It'll be around a lot longer, because when consoles die it'll go the way of sega.

It's hard to say because Nintendo will not let their properties go. I'd expect them to try and make some retarded smart phone and have it fail and then be forced to make some of their games for phones. Pokemon is available (illegally) for phones and works great.
