Flying-type, when used against a Bug Pokémon is very effective. Why is this? Well you must remember that the majority of Flying-type Pokémon are based on birds. For example, the evolution line of Starly, Staravia, and Staraptor, all three of them are in fact based on a type of bird (that type of bird is called a Starling, funny coincidence). Birds in nature have been known seen to prey on insects. The Bug-type Pokémon are, mostly, based in various kinds of insect found on Earth.
So with this example in our mind we must think then, what is the relationship between Flying-type Pokémon (birds) and Fighting-type Pokémon? What advantage do birds have against fighters?
