Yes, they should be objective about some things, but you simply HAVE to be subjective when you're scoring a game and telling people whether the various features in the game made your experience more enjoyable or less enjoyable.
If you're being completely objective, then nothing is good or bad and you're just giving your reader a run-down of the game's features, characters, plot, etc. You're not giving them any information they couldn't get by watching trailers or reading about the game elsewhere.
Reviews are opinions, and you can't really review something without giving your opinion of it. Otherwise it's not a review, it's just a list of features and facts. People read reviews to get the reviewer's opinion, to get an idea of whether or not they're going to also like the game based on what the reviewer has said about it.
