Do any of you guys ever think of yourselves in like, Ash's place and you travel to all the regions and think of what your canon teams would be?

Most of the time, yeah. In my eyes, most of the Pokemon I get in Nuzlocke's consist of my canon team for that region.

I just like the idea of "canonically" using Pokemon that I find, like they do in the series, rather than my over-powered favorites.

There's more care for me in a Nuzlocke run. I always keep either my starter or another Pokemon unevolved until the last 3 or so gyms.
