Give them a better motive. The new Pokemon teams are all rooted in noble causes, just take them to extremes. This makes the new villains more sympathetic and developed. Team Rocket was just lol we evil cuz we evil. I don't understand what anyone likes about them except that they're old and therefore nostalgic. They were boring and lame.

Okay this i like.
They are a criminal organization that exist in a world where monsters are as close to guns as you can get. Why on earth would they be bound by the same battle principals.

It would be awesome if in the middle of a round it turned into a 2 on 1 match, or some other crazy shit.

This can go for any evil team really.
