>>11855474Why I think Sylveon will be a new 'Fairy' Type.
(First of all, when I say 'Fairy' I am expecting a more 'nymph'-like version of fairies instead of cutesy fairies. Think old european folklore, spirits of the forest etc.)
-Type hyping: So far, Sylveons type has been hyped more than any other 'mystery' type we've seen in Pokemon. Anyone who can read Japanese will have no doubt noticed this from the Corocoro scan we recieved. Virtually every sentence was hyping up it's 'Mystery type' in some way. We did not recieve hyping like this for Zekrom (contrary to popular belief) it is very much unique in this respect.
-For weeks, Pokemon Smash has been hyping up Sylveon's type too.
-The name: Eeveelution names are always immediately apparent from the prefix. The prefix for Sylveon/Nympheon/Feelinara has always pointed to 'fairy', 'sprite' 'Nymph' etc. (Fee = fairy in german), people have understandably looked past this and thought 'bug' or 'flying' which makes sense if you eliminate the possibility of a 'fairy' type, but makes perfect sense in the event of a 'fairy' type.
-The bows on Sylveon which some have speculated to be butterfly wings are interesting because fairies are also depicted with butterfly wings
-Sylveon is the lightest (weight) Eeveelution so far, some have said this alludes to flying, but flying doesn't necessarily mean lightweight, however it would make perfect sense for Sylveon to be as light as it is if it was fairy-type.
