Because Volcarona is offensive while Vespiquen is defensive. Bug/Flying isn't the best defensive typing.

That being said, Mandibuzz. She's got the highest HP of any dark type, but shes fucked by covert cobblestones.

It's their typing more than anything that hurts them.

But Aggron, I think he's fine just the way he is. After a Rock Polish/Autotomize, it turns into a rape train with Head Smash.

Too bad Mach Punch derails it...

It probably would have been better. It looses a lot of resistances (and one immunity), but shedding a x4 weakness to Ground and Fighting would help it A LOT.

Still, it's one of my favourite Pokemon, so I like it the way it is.

Their Special Defense could get a boost as well, but being dual-types with weaknesses to the most common thing in the metagame, it wouldn't help them much I would guess, unless Aggron got Solid Rock too but that's a minor buff

Rhyperior maybe, Aggron not really. Try putting him on a sand team. That 50% boost helps.

While this would be nice defensively, that's not Aggron's style. Rock Head and Head Smash are all he needs.

Oh hey! After all this talk about Aggron, I just thought of a way to help him out!

Give him Wild Charge. A powerful, physical, electric type attack, with no recoil because of Rock Head. It can already learn Thunder/bolt/wave, so why not?

A lot of pokémon needs evolutions (Farfetch'd, Corsola, Dunsparce, etc), but some of them now are doomed to never evolve due to eviolite existence (I'm looking at you, Schuckle).
I mean, Schuckle is totally useless, but could gain a nice evolution. But if it happened, no one would use it because fucking eviolite Shuckle.

Vespiquen is one of my top favorite Pokemon, in-game at least she is a good tank with a helpful Ability (though I wish she got something that reduced damage or prevented certain kinds of damage, but GF gave it Unnerve, the fuckers). Attack Order and Acrobatics are a potent combo, and Heal Order is a very nice healing move. I usually keep Power Gem on her for something against Fire, Ice, and Flying opponents.

No, >>11857755 is right. P2 and PZ play completely different roles. P2 served me better and I like it a lot, but PZ is a completely different mon. P2's job varies a lot, from TR setter, to twave spreader, to general tank and so on. PZ can be a wallbreaker, agility sweeper, etc. Apples and oranges.

Chansey/Blissey also tend to run Ice Beam and/or Thunderbolt to do some damage while stalling, if they're not behind a Substitute and throwing Toxic or burns at everything.

And I think there aren't a lot of Mach Punches stronger than Conkeldurr's, but I could be wrong.

Adamant and Jolly 252 Attack Breloom OHKOs Aggron 100% of the time if it does not have defense EVs, and Adamant does it regardless.

Yeah, but only in RU.
If she had magic guard as a DW ability, she could Be more competitive even in higher tiers.
Being a bulky dark/flying would be great if she weren't screwed by subtle sandstones.
Her defense pool is great, and her speed usually let's her out speed other walls.
If she had either some more offensive capability or overcoat extended to entry hazards, she could be OU.

Rhyperior gets STAB EdgeQuake off one of the highest Attacking stats in the game.

It's not his typing that screws him over, it's his unreliable way to boost it's speed. If only he got Dragon Dance...

I guess the fact that fighting types have a priority move in mach punch gives you the advantage in that regard

They really should just do a complete stat overhaul of 60% of the pokemon which is hoping what X&Y will do.

Butterfree needs better stats along with many other pokemon that will take too long to name.

believe me, volcarona is almost as good as the psuedo legends, it just has lower stats
havng quiver dance AND that attack that has 50% chance of raising your special attack even further is stupidly good
if SR didn't exist I reckon it might even be an uber

while I love salamence, I think that volc is better due to mence's only useful stab being the dragon one
Volcarona works on rain teams, sun teams and weatherless teams, I've ran into it on a hail team before, shit surprised me
volcarona is just far easier to slot into a team than salamence is

See, an auto 5 turn Trick room could be okay feasibly, but a permanent Trick room like with perma weather would be gamebreaking.
But then again, you could just keep switching in your trick roomer for always trick room and always outspeeding things outside of priority.
Power Trick Shuckle would be OU more than likely, and everyone would pack a Scizor.

Volcarona has worse coverage total than mence. You have to choose between hitting heatran, gyarados + dragons, terrakion, you're too easily walled.

Dragon + ground/fire has perfect coverage

Fair enough, but Mence does need less team support. I guess I am a little biased too, always had trouble with volc because of stealth rock and its reliance on weather.

Right now I'm running Mence with slowbro for twave support, been going pretty well.
