I've just noticed that the Mewtwo in this picture has red eyes. Mewtwo has purple eyes.

This actually make me think there may be some validity in the leak. If a faker was going to whip up a fake Mewtwo forme, they would try to make it as realistic as possible.

This new maybe-forme has red eyes, as well as a white-purple color gradient, which would be pretty ballsy moves for a faker. I'm leaning on the side of "real", despite the fact that I wish with all my heart that it is fake.

It's a pretty obvious fake because it follows the guide someone posted earlier to making and spotting coro-coro fakes.

The "new" pokemon is off to the side of the page and nearly covered by other pokemon, none of which are in new poses (or slightly diffrent poses)

The Japanese writing is missing the the symbol that corocoro always puts in front of pokemon names.

And the fake scan job they did is s pretty obvious fake

The picture in question is a movie poster, and has little to do with CoroCoro. Also, take the Keldeo movie poster as an example; the poster featured regular Keldeo, and was later altered to be exactly the same, except for the fact that Keldeo changed to its new forme.

The same thing has happened with the old movie poster and this leak.

Mimicry is the close external resemblance of something.

They only have to lure people in and repel wild Pokemon. From a distance large objects appear smaller. Not to interject in the bitchery, but the reason why Voltorb, Electrode, Foongus and Amoongus look so much like Pokeballs is simply for overworld sake.
They're sprites that, while in the overworld, trick you in thinking that they are Pokeballs, Items or TM's, only to find out they're wild Pokemon placed there to try and hinder your progress with Explosion and Effect Spore. They're a trap of sorts. Kinda like some of the Pokemon Rangers and the Ninja's that surprise you.
So, it makes sense that their designs would reflect their overworld look.
