However, it was decided that Celebi would be the star of the fourth movie, so the story arc was viewed as redundant and shelved. It's some pony bullshit. The fandom saw a leaked image of Twilight as an alicorn and caused a massive amount of butt hurt. They started bitching even worse when they found out the character becomes a princess in the season finale and many claimed they are through with the fandom.
