I know alot of noobs copy and paste teams and think there experts all of a sudden but personal experiences due get in the way with smogon facts

Because they have the most experience and are a collaboration of players. If you have a better idea for movesets, go ahead and pitch it to them on the forum. Most likely you don't.
The only thin that irks me is the banning. Banning perma-rain would have made the meta game so much less centralized and would have resulted in less bans.

If you want to be competitive, it's useful.
If the most you're doing is maybe butting heads against your friends and gym leaders, it's probably not a lot of useful stuff to be had inside.

Smogen depends that your team will be at max level, ideal abilities,personality , IV's, items, TM's.
In an ordinary run, you might have one, ideal Smogen pokemon on your team. Maybe, if you plan everything out perfectly.
But it's probably not worth the effort, and you aren't going to autolose the game if your pokemon has a mismatched ability or personality.

I once played on a no-rules battle server running on something similar to Pokemon Showdown's tech.
In my first battle, my opponent had Double Team on all of his Pokemon. Every. Single. Pokemon.

From then on, everyone I fought had Double Team on at least three or more Pokemon. Hilariously enough, nobody ever used no-miss moves because it was easier to counter Double Team with Double Team.
My body wasn't ready.
