Kanto was only 'boring' because of the limited hardware it was created on. At least it wasn't painfully linear like Unova, and Sinnoh was just as bland, there was just more of it.

I'd like to see a sequel, or even another remake, that expands the region, making the routes and towns larger and shit.

But FR/LG didn't add much of anything, they were just straight remakes. And no, they weren't shit just because you didn't like them. They were exactly what they set out to be.

But a sequel or another remake would hopefully extend the routes and stuff, make them longer so the region isn't so cramped compared to later ones. A re-imagining, not just a remake.

Is it bad that even with 3D, extended routes, Pokemon from other regions now, every great feature we've had since, extra character fluff, etc. I still think I wouldn't enjoy going back to Kanto? The theme of the region just isn't appealing to me. Too much pollution. Too much industry. Having to go back to a Game Cornerless Kanto rubs it in even more. I seriously hope they never try to give the old regions sequels or more remakes, because there's only so much they can milk a place we've already seen to keep it interesting and I believe the first remakes did the best they could at that.

Now a Kanto remake done in the original style with new Pokemon in that same original style charming spritewise with the old sound but new remixes using that sound with extended routes and fluff and shit I'd flush my bank account for as those are the things I actually liked Gen 1 for.

It just doesn't appeal to me. I'm not a fan of Kanto's Region, only the generation it debuted in's technology. I'd rather the purposeful mimicry of the old style without the bugs and filled with today's features and Pokemon to something made to look spiffy with today's graphics that merely takes place in a region I don't care much about at all. I don't hate Kanto, but I'm extremely indifferent about it.

I said twice already a good Kanto remake or sequel would have to make the region bigger by expanding the routes so the region wouldn't be so small and boring compared to Sinnoh, Hoenn or Unova,

I'm cool with the pokemon and the characters but seriously, it's fucking boring. There is no plot whatsoever. I would not buy it at full price
