Here are my reasons for garchomp. The dragon/ground typing allows for great offense and it cant be paralyzed. With great bulk and only 2 weaknesses, garchomp is really viable in VGC

however, blaziken has an equally good fire/fighting typing and scares away them pesky scizors. Access to Hi jump kick also allows it to keep going in rain, especially since it can OHKO ludicolo and kingdra without lifeorb. Although thundurus stops him cold and pretty much renders him useless with a t-wave. He is also setup bait since protect will almost always be your first move. Not to mention being outright walled by chandelure, a very popular pokemon in singles

Pisses me off when I get lumped in with all the other faggots who use the same pokemon now just because of the OP ability.

And don't say "just don't use SB" because then you still lose. Not only do you still get lumped in with the faggots but then you constantly get asked "why no SB." Other than it being banned of course - but who the hell plays by smogonfag rules anyway.

I feel your concerns, but thats how thing work. If something is higher quality than another product, people will almost always go for the higher quality good.

To be honest, I would use garchomp without question if Blaziken didnt get chicken feet. Then again, a pokemon with legs as long as blaziken should already have like 105 base speed

Blaziken, all you have to do is force a grass type or whatever out so you can swords dance and then it becomes just about unstoppable especially seeing as it's 3v3 and you can sweep right off the bat.

I'd speed-run the game catching no extra pokémon except for HM-slaves but only using my blaziken for battles. Even did a nuzlocke run like that.

You rarely have the chance to set up there and it is more importat the capacity to swtich in. Garchomp can switch in into many pokemons with immunity and proceed to RAPE. Blaziken cannot.

Another team i run occasionally uses breloom with focus punch and spore, the team also has an extremespeed linoone that has been my bro since gen 3. Extremespeed linoone with belly drum is delicious.

Yea but having access to bellydrum and extremespeed+2 priority on the same pokémon is quite nice. You switch in on the sleeping pokémon, set up belly drum and proceed to sweep.

Ninjask->Baton pass speedboost onto smeargle ->Spore will outspeed anything and is 100% accuracy -> Belly drum -> Give it to any semi-decent sweeper.

wifi singles are a joke most of the time, most people i run into barely have a good way of revenge killing and don't run taunt.

too many people just keep a sleeping pokémon and wait for it to wake up regardless of the opponent setting up for an easy sweep. It's mind boggling.

How do you even get a legal Blaziken with speed boost? If I recall the whole reason you don't see Wifi dominated by Blaziken was because it came from some special event where it's near impossible to get one with a good nature/stats.
