If there was to be ONE pokemon that I could openly despise, it would have been Pikachu. While nice design-wise, having it crammed into my face since the dawn of the Pokemon era has reversed any possible trail of gaining sympathy.
When I finally got my hands on the game itself, I caught a Pikachu for the sole sake of +1 to my Pokedex count. Infamous rodent was then forced to stare at the insides of a storage system until I obtained appropriate evolution stone - and that was the first and last time for a Pikachu to be taken out of my storage space. Upon evolving, it has been immediately boxed for the rest of forever.
