Grinding for Clay on BB2, goddamn, Breeder Arpil(the first on route 6) is great. Level 32 Chansey, it's like an exp pinata that you can get every minute. Fun as fuck. What levels should I get before challenging Clay himself btw?

I know. If it weren't for my extreme grinding(there should be a pile of dead Audino somewhere igame, I'm sure of it), I'd have lost more pokemon. Also, I'm doing a run with Dupe Clause, HG clause, and it's male-only. That's probably caused me to even get this far.

Hidden Grotto clause, it basically means: count grottos as a different area(so you can catch more Pokemon. Just because this is my third Nuzlocke, and I know BB2 is notoriously hard, I'd rather take it easier on myself.

I can't believe you people actually consider Pokemon game challenging

Even with Nuzlocke rules they are a joke since at all times you control whether you want it to be easy or hard

All you have to do is grind. I dont see what so fun about that. Why dont you actually play a game for adults if you want a real challenge?

a) the player is assumed to decline the position

Yes, in theory you can grind for 50 hours on level 2 Rattatas on route 1 until your starter is level 100 and then it won't be challenging, but the whole idea is not doing that

Ok so update time
Took on Cheren's team. Melodie did alot of the work, until Munchlax came out. I swapped to Regal and started feinting and quick attack spamming, munchlax worked up twice. I used Counter, and Munchlax used Covet. Took Regal to 4 HP. Counter OHKO's munchlax, levels up and learns force palm, too weak to sweep with it.

Melodie and Darian wipe up the rest of the team, for a victory. Piper wasn't very useful here.

Got to Virbank, a clown gave me a piplup. I went to virbank complex and saw a rustling grass and went "GREAT, A WAY TO LEVEL MY PIPLUP"
Forgot my rules for a second. Ended up with Marie.

Cleared the complex, time to grind for Roxie

I was on my way to get natu because he was the last pokemon i'd be able to get for a while.

Now i'm training my magnemite, goldeen and venonat and up so they'll stand a chance. I wasn't planning on using goldeen or magnemite but then I lost 2 of my team. Just evolved my natu at lvl 30 so he could get future sight.

Hopefully it will be enough to defeat Chuck, i've never used any of these pokemon before. My only constant pokemon in this game has been my Poliwhirl.

When I restart heartgold i'm definitely getting a politoed because I can't get him right now.

Just fight 125 Pokemon that yield the EVs you want while holding a macho brace. 250 EVs will do you better than grinding 10 levels anyway

You shouldn't be covering weaknesses in Nuzlockes, you should be thinking in resistances if possible. Don't use Gastrodon with Ice Beam, but use a poke that's resistant to grass.

In nuzlockes one should think not offense, think defense. I get what you say and it is correct.

I never used a Gastrodon in a Nuzlocke, but I used a Swampert with Ice Beam and it turned out swimmingly. Again, it's good to have enough bulk to take a dragon.

My starter is machamp.

The first pokemon I encountered was a tyrannitar - When I get pokeballs, can I go back and catch it regardless of when I encounter it, because I saw it first before getting the pokeballs?

Emerald was my first Nuzlocke.
Universal Pokemon Randomizer is a basic randomizer that works for every Pokemon game, but you're probably better off doing a normal nuzlocke run for your fist time, especially if you're talking about doing shit like randomizing types and skills.

Oh, I thought you were playing legit. As in as soon as you beat the nugget bridge the first Poke just happened to be Abra(rare)and you just happened to snag it on full with first ball(very unlikely, those fuckers take a few tries).

I'm now starting a Mono-Dragon randomized run of Emerald with Dratini as my starter.
