Sylvia means spirit of the woods. Also, sylveon, chansey, etc totally look like fairies in my opinion, which is why I personally think it's going to be a new type like fairy/light.
Why would they name it sylveon if it's normal/ghost/flying? (only one I've heard is that silvia means flying spirit, but the "spirit of the woods" meaning seems much more common)
Second: If it's not a new type, you have to admit it's really ambiguous what type it is. Why would gamefreak make a new eeveelution that doesn't look like any current type, and not reveal the type? If it actually was a flying type, I'd totally tell what type it is, because you'd look really incompetent if you aren't even capable of making a decent-looking flying type eeveelution.
