Bidoof and Bibarel are the most practical to use whether it be in battle or as an HM slave, Sentret and Furret are the best family design wise. Zigzagoon and Linoone are the second for both making it overall best.

And yes, I realize that the Tanooki suit is based off the Tanouki. It's part of Japanese folklore and is a symbol for good luck. Still, it's a canine.

I finally got Pearl a few months ago. I tried to beat the Elite Four with only Bidoofs. I failed.
But I'm partial to the first gen on everything. The only things i cared about was pokemon and starwars. Pokemon Red FTW
