This thread went from a good conversation about Satoshi Taijiri and Junichi Masuda to arguing about designs, which pokemon suck, and why we use certain Pokemon.

To those who were sharing some insight on both guys, thanks. Been playing since Yellow was released, and I honestly never bothered to find out about the guys behind Pokemon. And honestly, I don't think I can choose. I've mentioned this before but, I've just never been one to bitch about all of the Pokemon that have been created, nor about the games. I've just always been an avid fan, that's all (but making fun of some Pokemon is just hilarious).
As a kid, I enjoyed R/B/Y, because it was simple. Start a journey, go from town to town beating trainers and gum leaders with your favorite Pokemon, all while trying to catch them all.
When G/S came out, I didn't care much for the small storyline, but as I got older, gameplay and storyline mattered to me.
